FBOM– Recent Review That Just Needed To Be Shared.
I seldom share reviews on my site although I post them everywhere else on the planet. Call me shy… you’d be inaccurate in that assumption, but lazy is such a harsh word.
To be honest, I feel this site is more meant for announcements, news and, where possible, a helpful resource for people that read my novels and want more concrete information on the topics I tend to write about. Someday I’ll get around to building a page that links to all of these wonderful reviewers from my website, but there are only so many hours in the day.
Stating all of that, I recently received a review on an Advanced Reader Copy of FBOM that gave me hope that what I attempt to accomplish with my writing, actually transcends pure entertainment. I write in the hopes of entertaining as many people as possible, but I also hope that I am giving something back to the reader. Be it hope, understanding, joy or in the case of FBOM a chance to look into the darkness and realize, that somewhere within, is light trying to escape.
I appreciate and love every kind review. Hearing someone say they enjoyed, and appreciated, something that I have worked on is an amazing feeling. To have someone, so eloquently, explain the meaning and underlying themes within the otherwise exciting story, is something I think every author hopes for. Let’s face it, it’s easy for an author to say what the story is about, but much harder explain what it “means”. In other words… this Reviewer not only enjoyed the story, but she also “got IT”.
I will share the book reviewer’s link at the bottom of the page. She has several quality reviews of books you may be interested in including cookbooks, so check out her site and have fun.

Additional reviews from advanced readers:
Here is the review:
“FBOM is your perfect charity organisation, helping victims of sexual abuse back on their feet with all sorts of brilliant support. Created by a father, who lost his own daughter to consequences of rape, the organisation helps hundreds of victims in their fight to get their lives back on track.
However, there is a darker side to FBOM. A side of judgement, retribution, persecution and punishment which, at first, I thought was a marvelous idea. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if victims always got the justice they deserved and their perpetrator was punished in an eye for eye fashion?
However, as clichéd as it sounds, the road to evil in a slippery slope. As the judge or the person giving out punishment – what do you become? Are you any better than them? Where does the just punishment stop and anger driven revenge start. It seems to be a fine line for Michael, the Charity’s founder, breaking the punishment laws of the very organisation he builds to protect people from violence.
This is a dark, disturbing novel that everyone should read – men and women. It’s very well written in a past/present style that I found easy to follow. This novel makes you think and question your own morals and priorities, hence the five stars I have given it.
Thank you to the E.M. Bosso and TBC for access to this book in return for this honest opinion.
